Work With What’s in Your Hand

here was a season—maybe you’re in it right now—where God kept whispering to me:

“You have everything you need.”
“Work with what’s in your hand.”

And I’ll be real with you, Madame—it made no sense at the time.

Because what was in my hand felt like lack.
Like not enough.
Like scraps.
Like, “God, You see this right? I’m out here running on fumes and You’re talking about provision?”

But then He reminded me of the widow with the oil (2 Kings 4).
She said, “Your servant has nothing… except a small jar of oil.”
That except was everything.
What she saw as insufficient was exactly what God would multiply.

When You Can’t See What’s in Your Hand

If you feel stuck, sis, it’s not because you don’t have anything.
It’s because what you do have doesn’t look like what you thought you needed.

And sometimes?
You’re too close to it to even recognize it.

Let me help you pull back:

  • Your voice is oil.

  • Your story is oil.

  • That degree you never used—oil.

  • Your hospitality, your spreadsheets, your lived experiences—oil.

  • Your kids, your testimony, your pain—oil.

God doesn’t need what you wish you had.
He’s breathing on what you already do.

What’s in Your Hand? Let’s Get Practical:

  1. Inventory your skills.
Don’t downplay what comes naturally to you. What you call “just helping” or “just writing” or “just talking” is oil.

  2. Write your “except.”
“God, I have nothing… except ___.” Fill in that blank. Name it. Bless it. Start there.

  3. Pour it out.
The oil didn’t multiply while she was wishing. It multiplied while she was pouring.
That’s the key. You don’t wait to feel ready. You move in obedience, and the flow follows.

For the Woman Who Feels Empty

You are not behind.
You are not ill-equipped.
You are not too late.
You are standing in the middle of your miracle—you just need fresh eyes to see it.

Ask the Holy Spirit:

“Show me what’s in my hand.”
“Show me what I’ve called ‘nothing’ that’s actually the key to everything.”

Because you have everything you need to start.
God isn’t asking you to build an empire overnight.

He’s just asking: Can you trust Me with what’s already in your hand?

Speak this aloud:

I may not have it all, but I have enough.
I won’t despise small beginnings.
I will pour what I have and trust God to multiply.
My hands are not empty. My life is not void. I carry oil. I carry answers. I carry legacy.
